Missile Technician Rating Once Again Eligible for EBSR!

Today, October 3, 2025, Navy Recruiting Command released its first enlistment bonus (EB) message in Fiscal Year 2026. The new EB guidance is effective, Sunday, October 5, 2025, and it supersedes the message which became effective on August 31, 2025.

The current Enlistment bonus for High School (EBHS)bonus for the month of August Fiscal Year 2026 is currently limited to only those SB-ATF and SO-ATF Future Sailors who meet the qualifying AFQT Scores and are otherwise qualified for EBHS.

With the potential life changing amounts offered via enlistment bonuses alone combined with the allowances (if eligible: Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH), Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS), Family Separation Allowance (FSA), etc.), and the military pay for 2026, and duty pay (if eligible: Navy Sea Pay, Sub Pay, Hazardous Duty, Flight Pay, etc.), 30 days paid vacation, Tuition Assistance, medical and dental benefits for the entire family (spouse/children), etc., there has never been a better time to contact your local Navy Recruiter!

The Enlistment Bonus (EB) maximum limit for the Nuclear Power Field (NUC-NF) is $75,000. The EB maximum limit for Aviation Rescue Swimmer (AIRR-ATF), Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (EOD-ATF), Hospital Corpsman - Advanced Technical Field (HM-ATF), Information Systems Technician - Submarines (ITS-ATF), Submarine Electronics/Computer Field (SECF-5YO), and Special Warfare Boat Operator (SB-ATF) is $60,000. For all other ratings and programs, the EB maximum limit will be maintained at $50,000. If the sum of Enlistment Bonuses exceeds the maximum limit, the Enlistment Bonus Source Rating will be reduced to maintain total EB at the maximum for the specified rating. However, EB and Loan Repayment Program can be combined such that each reach their respective maximum ($50,000/$60,000/$75,000 EB and $65,000 LRP).

Active or Reserve Component Future Sailors with a DoD Tier 3 education are NOT authorized an Enlistment Bonus.

All enlistment bonuses and student loan repayment funds are subject to federal income tax.

Current Enlistment Bonus Status

They must enter active duty in pay grade E-4 or below, meet specific bonus eligibility and did not receive a bonus in their first enlistment. Additionally, Navy Prior Service Members must have been separated from active duty for a minimum of 12 months prior to shipping to be eligible for bonuses.
