Navy Recruiting Blog about the enlistment process and benefits of service. This is NOT an official Navy web site. The opinions expressed are my own, and may not be in-line with Big Navy.

Vick,

My guess would be in maybe two to three years before they may consider those waivers again, but I do suggest that you go see your recruiter and introduce yourself - he should be able to give you a much better idea, and you would then be in his records for when/if it does open back up.

Vick,

Having two DUIs would require a waiver by the Commander, Navy Recruiting Command; currently, such waivers are not being considered.

Wil,

It means that by instruction, you are eligible for waiver consideration, but because recruiting is doing so well because of the services draw down and the retention experienced because of the state of the economy, the processing of such waivers are on an indefinite hold.

Wil,

Two DUIs require a waiver by the Commander, Navy Recruiting Command; however, currently, there is a moratorium on the processing of waivers that require that level of waiver consideration.
