Cannon-rant 4/12/2005 : U. S. Military Recruiting

So i havent done a rant in a while, because im one lazy person. (i have several people who can attest to this fact) But anyways i guess alot of things now are rant worthy. One as most of you know i joined the Navy. And practically everyday for the past week, week and a half ive been working out and running in the morning then in the afternoon. Running like 2-3 miles each session. So anyways, here i am running like 4-5 miles a day, pushups and crunches like alot, and im wondering exactly how much of what im doing ALL recruits do. Im in a unique position that im going for NF (nuclear training) and my dad is a Master Chief that hounds my recruiters every chance he gets. Ive talked to a few people who are in/were in the navy, and they were like "yeah, i didnt do like anything that bad at all." I dont know, dont get me wrong i like working out and feeling that im getting more fit and such. But its alot of work that being the lazy person i am i can do without. Alot of anxiety as i approach only 6 days until i ship out. Who knows what bootcamp has instore for me or other things soon on the horizon. But i do know i have to learn my general orders and my creed. or else mucho bad things happen.

But enough on the navy, (although this IS navycs) Life in particular hasnt changed much with the event of the day coming up. Its wierd because i just cant fathom how much my life is about to change. A couple...wait.. i said i wasnt going to talk about the navy anymore. so changing topics again. I havent downloaded any anime in like 2 months. I dont know, i miss it i guess because it gives me something to do, and it enthrals me, like reading a good book, your just in the story. Anyways, CS is getting somewhat more/less enjoyable. More so because i talk more to the people i play with, and we generally have a more fun time playing when you laugh and talk to the people your with. But less so because the spurts that i have of badluck seem to come in like 45min-80hour blocks. which frustrate me. When i go for a map and have like 30 - 2, and then in the next map have like 1-18. i mean seriously. its like "is that even the same person who we played with last map?" its like all my skill/luck is just drained out of me and im left with a spraying noob who has no idea what to do being my first time playing this game and all. But o my god. Ive comprised a test for Noobs before they play on AwesomeCS or NavyCS.

1) Do you know that you run faster with your knife out?
2) Do you know that when you throw a flash, your teammates arnt immune to its blinding-sunlight effect?
3) Have you every played Dust?
4) More then once 4 years ago?
5) do you not know what that infernal beeping means when it says you have so long to defuse something or other.
6) Did you know that sometimes people get HSs, yes even you, and its not an automatic sign of hacks?
7) When climbing a ladder you have NO accuraccy. So dont stay on a ladder when you fire... not even a question, just something im saving you the shame of answering.
this ones specificly aimed at Super War Game, when you die, PEOPLE CAN NOT HEAR YOU. I know that on some TV shows, the dead come back and talk to the living, but on CS this isnt the case. Trust me, even when you scream, they cannot hear you.
9) Dont hack. Saving you the trouble of having to buy a new game.
10) dont hack then say "oh, its just because im Cal - I" even if you were in Cal-I no one cares. Its not like we are going to stop what we are doing, construct a monument in your honor and then let you go around HSing us. Now, Cal-M is different. No just kidding.

Anyways, just had to get some of that off my chest. If you guys can think of any other "Noob Quiz Questions" post them below.
