This movie reminds me of when I was on the USS Forrestal - back during the 1982 deployment a couple of days after we out-chopped the Med on our way back home we hit three days of heavy seas. That was the first time I saw water breaking over a carriers bow - keep in mind the flight deck is about 80-90 feet up from the water line!
