Honorable Service to the United States Navy

Over Four Decades

April 25th, 2010

This week marks a pause in my family’s service in the United Sates Navy as my son, Kevin, has finished his time and returned to the states from Japan. Until a future generation continues the tradition, we so far have had four generations that amassed 44 years of proud, honorable service to the Navy. OK, time for some grandchildren!

God Bless him, and all who serve. My thanks for his, as well as all your family’s service. My own son is over in Afghanistan, an infantryman(airborne) with the 173rd Airborne Brigade.

It does seem to be a continued tradition amongst certain families, that each generation takes their place in the line. It’s the same with mine.

    Respects,

  2. Navy Mom HUG to Kevin, and all of the NavyCS family for their 4+ decades of service, and sacrifice by all throughout those years. Let me know when the title “Chief” will be replaced with “Pa-Pa”… I’ll be sure to send you a handmade Pillowcase, every stitch sewn is full of unconditional Navy Mom Love!

My sailor is in San Diego, and his best friend is in Japan (USS GW) – he loves Japan, but says there’s still no place like home. Am sure Kevin will have some wonderful stories to tell to the future NavyCS sailor.

    Tim,

My brother-in-law is retired Army, West Point grad, the last few years of Navy domination at football has been very enjoyable :)

    Michele,

Thank you! My son was on the GW, too.
