Navy E-Leave

March 22nd, 2010

Although the over-the-counter pain reliever “Aleve” may accomplish the same thing, don’t confuse it with the Navy’s new “E-Leave” policy. E-Leave will automate the current leave request, approval, and processing system as well as save a few trees. It will relieve some of the stress and pain a lost chit or the follow-on pay issues may cause. Yea, I am sure there will be a few headaches, much as there was with DTS, but over time, when everyone gets used to the new system, I see this as a very good thing.

Shore base implementation will begin in August 2010 and afloat commands will see the system installed over the next two years.
