One Response to “2010 Navy Event Dates”

  1. Michele aka Navy Mike's Mom says:

Chief – I am so glad that I stumbled upon this specific post, and have now subscribed to receive your RSS feed.

I am a very proud mother of a U.S. Navy Sailor. While my son was deployed, I channeled my “worried mom” nerves towards support and encouragement for those serving as well as those on the home front. One of those outreach projects to get involved in was St. Louis Navy Week 2009. While I am involved in numerous support projects, Navy Weeks was one of the most rewarding experiences.

Since that time, I am always seeking dates of Navy outreach events to share with all of my social-networking friend across the USA. They can then reach out to their own living communities to encourage others to attend the event. Especially if it is an event that an entire family may enjoy, or an event where civilians can learn more about what our USN sailors really do – besides ‘sail around the ocean on a ship’ – a misconception any Navy family knows and wishes more civilians would learn the reality of what our Navy men and women do.

Your tech skills are by far more advanced than mine will ever be – although I finally figured out that linking is so much easier than re-posting info, myself. Your site will be one that linking will come in handy for many of my outreach contacts.

Thank you for your career service, and like-thanks to your family for their service and many sacrifices. My sailor lives and pursues his Navy career with absolutely no intervention from ‘ole Mom here – but it is my greatest hope that he pursue the USN as a career. He’s got what it takes (in my humble opinion), Regardless, I will always be proud of him for choosing to serve.

    Blue Skies!
