Do you remember General Ravi Rashood?

To the Death Book Preview

May 13th, 2008

To The Death by Patrick RobinsonI have been contacted by Vanguard Publishing and given the opportunity to offer my readers a chance at getting a “first look” at the eagerly awaited “To the Death” by Patrick Robinson who has also written the bestsellers “Lone Survivor”, “Nimitz Class”, and “Hunter Killer”. Many of his books contain his most famous protagonist, Admiral Arnold Morgan. To the Death is reported to be the Admiral’s final novel.
I for one am not going to try and review this book, To the Death because I have yet to read it in it’s entirety. I will say that the first 122 pages I have read, and made available to you as well, are amazing! His adventures are exciting and believable and keep an eye out for a couple of Navy Chiefs in the book like Chief Mark Coulson and Chief Skip Gowans - as in real life the Chiefs make a difference! OK, that did it, I’m ready to come out of retirement!

As I mentioned, Vanguard Press with Armed Forces Day upon us, has made the first 122 pages of this novel available for all us to read - Read it here and let me know what you think!

The actual release date for the novel, “To the Death” is June 10, 2008. Pre-order your copy To The Death from Amazon!

  • I am so sick of the political undercurrents in Patrick Robinson’s books that I have stopped reading him. Though the stories are good, Robinson diminishes them by labeling and pigeonholing and demeaning anybody he does not agree with politically - especially Democrats. I stopped reading Scimiter SL-2 because I got so sick of it. I’m sure HarperCollins would sell more books if they could get him to stop the bashing.

  • I think that the book should have ended with a politically incorrect but appropriate one sentence Epilog - “When General Ravi Rashood, C in C of Hamas, reached the after life all he found standing waiting to recieve him was a totally pissed off wife.”
