Jihad RecruitingGun and a BulletAugust 31st, 2007In order to join the United States military you are required to produce proof of citizenship or legal immigrant status, you must meet certain age requirements, provide background information for screening, meet minimum education requirements, be within a certain ban of weight depending on your height, you must score well on academic testing and pass a regiment of tests during your processing physical. Before you will serve the military in a war fighting capacity you must first complete bootcamp where you will be further tested mentally and physically. You will then complete additional schooling in one of the many disciplines which make up the most powerful and organized fighting force on the planet. Upon completion of your initial training you will be assigned to a command were you will be exposed to further training and qualification standards - you must meet or exceed all these expectations before you can be counted as an effective member of the US Armed Forces. We are Winning the War on TerrorOn 26 August 2007 Al-Qaeda posted on a number of Islamist web sites a “how to join” and become a jihad fighter. Age requirement? None mentioned but appears to be seeking the young. Citizenship requirement? None mentioned. Education requirement? None mentioned. Physical, mental requirements? Moral standards? None mentioned. Training and testing of any sort? None mentioned. The document wants the future jihad fighter to think outside the box. If Osama bin Laden was a parrot John Cleese would again have an opportunity to say, “This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be. It’s expired and gone to meet its maker. This is a late parrot. It’s a stiff. Bereft of life, it rests in peace. If you hadn’t nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up the daisies. It’s rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-parrot.” as this correspondance does not promise guidance or additional words of wisdom from their leader. It discusses communication with the Al-Qaeda organization is not to be expected, recognition for their actions will not be forthcoming. No more are they attempting to organize and train. The camps they used before are now burnt desert sand, the leaders are dead or in hiding - this document demonstrates the desperation they must have while losing the overall war. As Hitler did near the end of World War II so is Al-Qaeda - recruiting children and pleading for anyone in the populace to strike out, it failed then and will most certainly fail now.
