How can you say our freedoms depend on it? Iraq was never a threat to us. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 or Al Queda. The only thing we’ve done is to recruit more jihadists for Al Queda.
The reason in wanting a deadline to move out? Because soldiers from many nations are now stuck in a civil war between the Sunnis and the Shiites. If they aren’t caught in that crossfire, then they’re being kidnapped & killed by various factions.
This isn’t to mention that this entire war was a farce. There weren’t any WMD. Everybody supported this war when we thought the intelligence was intelligent & accurate. But it wasn’t. Nor is Cheney’s claim that the insurgents are grasping for their last breath.
Afghanistan was a just cause, they were tied to 9/11 and did pose a threat, not only to the USA, but to other countries as well. We don’t hear of cries for a deadline to leave Afghanistan, don’t you wonder why? Nobody is complaining about us being there. If anything, our soldiers need MORE support in Afghanistan!I don’t question the intentions of soldiers for enlisting, nor do I doubt there are indeed good things being done in Iraq. I hope you understand that the reason for wanting a deadline is because of love & respect for each soldier’s LIFE. I support our military 100%, yet do NOT support this lying administration that has already cost too many lives.

First off I would like to thank you for visiting my blog.
As I stated previously rather there were WMD or not I think we are there for the right reasons. How much longer were we, the world body, going to sit back and allow Saddam to ignore resolution after resolution - one of which by the way was the allowing of inspectors to search for suspected WMD? Saddam chose his fate. A real benefit to the coalitions invasion was the fact that the insurgents (Al-Qaida) decided to use Iraq as a battleground, in my opinion a much better location than other alternatives.
You are correct in saying the Sunnis and the Shiites are at each others throats - this has been going on well before our arrive into the country, thing was while Saddam was in charge the Shiites were being oppressed through the use of fear and torture. Now that both sides are equal maybe over time they can work out their differences - democracy has a way of bring out the best in peoples over time.
As for Afghanistan - if the generals on the ground asked for more troops and support they would get it in spades. Where is the credit due to the current administration for the job being completed there? Politics…
All this being said if we do not finish the job in Iraq, if we leave before the Iraqi people can truly fend for themselves, the entire region and the rest of the world will feel the wrath of those who want to punish free people for their beliefs which don’t match those of the extremists. The extremists will become more powerful and rather you want to accept it or not, they want you dead. Not because you may be American, British, Israeli, French, German or even Shiite or Sunni but because you do not believe the same as they do. -
You’ve got to be kidding. How noble we’re meant to believe the motives of mad industrialists and warmongers to be. Frankly, wake up to realpolitick and start listening to something other than your corporate crap media and government self-aggrandisement.
Can’t you tell when someone’s lied to you? Or is it too embarrassing?
Blind ignorance is worse than embarrassing.Comment by new illuminati (1 comments.) — June 24, 2006 @ 5:45 am

My argument is based on known facts - you absolutely make no argument except they must be lying because they have more power and make more money than you. Thank goodness you have another opportunity to vote out of office those you think are sitting back playing the people like pawns - I will more than likely be cancelling out your vote though so don’t get too excited.
